Sea and hills
Located east of the Río de la Plata lies Uruguay’s southernmost point: Punta del Este. Discovered by the Spanish, settled by Creoles, and explored by pirates, it is today the most famous seaside resort in our country.

Itinerary
- We begin our journey in the morning along the coast of Montevideo and Canelones. We invite you to discover the charm of the hills in a wonderful landscape surrounded by pines and eucalyptus trees, where we’ll explore the mysticism of the Templars and alchemy through the works of Humberto Pitamiglio in the resort town of Las Flores.
- Continuing along Route 10, we enjoy the final kilometers of the Río de la Plata, as we arrive at Piriápolis, “the City of the Sun,” founded in 1890 by Francisco Piria. Here we’ll discover the Argentino Hotel and San Antonio Hill, where we’ll stop for a panoramic view.
- The road then leads us to the charm of Punta Ballena and Casapueblo, where we visit its art gallery and workshop (entrance not included).
- Approaching Punta del Este, we enter the peninsula via Playa Mansa, leading us to the Port of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria—the meeting point of the waters, where the Río de la Plata meets the ocean. The Atlantic coast shows its beauty, and the Isla de Lobos greets us with its lighthouse.
- We then arrive at Punta del Este’s most iconic monument, La Mano, where we’ll stop for free time, lunch, and personal activities.
- Later, we gather at the designated meeting point and continue along the oceanfront to visit Beverly Hills, with its mansions and lush gardens along Av. Francia. We then pass through the Marconi neighborhood and along Av. Roosevelt to reach Punta’s oldest and most famous area, Cantegril.
- Finally, we return via Playa Mansa to head back to Montevideo.
- Return to your hotels and end of our services.
- Optionally, we can drop you off at Montevideo Shopping or Punta Carretas Shopping if you prefer.
