Itinerary
- We begin in the afternoon by visiting the Port and its surroundings, a pleasant area filled with restaurants and nightlife.
- We continue through the Peninsula, the center of Punta del Este, where we visit the Lighthouse, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Candelaria (the city’s patron saint), and the meeting point of the waters — where the Río de la Plata meets the Atlantic Ocean, marking the end of the estuary and the beginning of the ocean. We then arrive at Punta del Este’s most iconic monument, La Mano, where we stop to take photos.
- We continue along Playa Brava, admiring its coastal views and seaside mansions, until reaching the wavy bridge of La Barra de Maldonado, where we make a brief stop for photos.
- We return to visit the Beverly Hills neighborhood for a short tour among its beautiful mansions.
- We then head toward Playa Mansa and continue to Punta Ballena, where we find Casapueblo — a unique architectural masterpiece, home and museum of the artist Carlos Páez Vilaró. Guests are invited to visit the museum (entrance fee USD 10) to admire his works of painting, ceramics, and literature. Ten minutes before sunset, we’ll listen to a poem by the artist dedicated to the sun.
- Afterward, we return to the hotels.
Departure times vary according to the season to synchronize with the sunset.
